How The Setting Process Works

Either you have your own stone, or you have already selected one with us and you are ready to have it set! (If not, start here)

Three ways you can go about this:

1) Email us some pictures of what you have in mind, any helpful details, metal, finger size, etc.

2) Browse our extensive collection of settings. You can send us the link(s) to what you like and can either have it as is or modify whatever you desire OR combine multiple styles into one!

3) Fill out this form to convey what you want in an organized manner.

After that, Jonathan uses a high-tech CAD software program called the Matrix to design your ring. Depending on how simple or intricate the ring is, the design can take as quickly as one day or as long as a week to finish. Once it is done, we will email you a 3D rendering which is spot on as to what you can expect in person. Examples here. If you want to see what it will look like in two-tone, rose, white, etc., just ask us and we will show you different variations of the same ring with the exact proportions of your center stone and finger size. Sometimes we nail it on the first go around, sometimes a client wants to make alterations. That is fine and it won't cost you extra to alter details, we just ask for super clear communication for time efficiency.

In the case you feel that it is hard to communicate what you want in the ring's design via email/photos, we have had great success with live video calls in which Jonathan will share his screen with you, designing the ring as you speak to him. If you would like to do this, simply ask! We are here to serve you in whatever works best for you.

After the design is confirmed, you do have the option to have us mail you a wax model. This can take anywhere from 1-2 weeks. Most people skip this step, but it is an option for anyone who needs the extra peace of mind.

Next, we will get you two quotes from our two manufacturers. We stand behind the quality of both. Here are the differences:

1) Our Stuller manufacturer.
- Will take 3 weeks
- Will cost less
- More hands are involved

2) Our Master Bench.
- Will take 8 weeks or more if backed up
- Will cost significantly more
- One pair of hands from start to finish

Most people end up going with Stuller. I have had much of my own jewelry made by them and love everything. They have delivered us quality and awesome customer service for decades. Now, if one can afford the cost and wait for the MB, then by all means, go for it because his rings definitely have the designer touch being that he himself is a ring artist and is OCD about little minutia details such as specific claw prongs. He makes rings for big names and so his work matches the price tag. We are proud to work with him and value his service. So, in a simple sentence, you are not getting lesser quality by going with Stuller but if you have the budget and time to go with the Master Bench.

Once you approve the quote and choose which manufacturer you are going with, we will send you an invoice to pay in full for the ring setting. After you pay, we give the greenlight for production. We do not contact you again until the ring arrives here. When it arrives, we approve that it matches what you ordered and then take a video clip to show you how stunning it is! From there, we coordinate what day the package can be signed for. We can ship to your home, an office, or an authorized FedEx ship center with actual staffed FedEx employees wearing uniforms.
